A real-time quiz battle platform for Greek high school students — authentication, ELO ranking, matchmaking, leaderboards, and live multiplayer gameplay.
Read the case study
Greek high-school students prepare for Panhellenic exams alone, with boring PDFs and no way to measure themselves against peers. Motivation and consistency drop off fast.
Turn revision into a live 1v1 battle. Two students queue, get matched by ELO, play a timed round of curriculum-aligned questions, and see their ranking move in real time. Design borrows from chess.com and Kahoot but stays serious and exam-focused.
Next.js + TypeScript for a typed, server-rendered app. Supabase Realtime channels handle matchmaking and per-round sync so I don't run a WebSocket server. Postgres RLS secures the question bank and scores. ELO recalculated server-side after each round so scores can't be spoofed.
In active development — auth, matchmaking, live rounds and leaderboards working. Early access opening in 2026 to a closed beta of Greek high-school students.
