Terms of Use.
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of parisworks.org (the "Site"), which is operated by Paris Works — a website developer and sole trader based in Athens, Greece ("I", "me" or "we"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site
The Site is a portfolio and services showcase. It presents past and ongoing work, describes services I offer, and lets you contact me. Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer to provide services on any specific terms; any such engagement requires a separate written agreement between us.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this Site — including text, design, layout, graphics, code, logos and project mockups — is either owned by me, used with permission of the underlying client, or used under a licence permitting such use. All rights are reserved.
You may:
- view and read the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes;
- share a link to a public page of the Site;
- quote short excerpts of textual content, with attribution.
You may not:
- copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute Site content in bulk or for commercial purposes without my prior written consent;
- use any project mockup, logo, screenshot or client name to imply endorsement of a product or service you provide;
- reverse-engineer, scrape or systematically extract content for AI training or dataset creation.
4. Third-party trademarks & project references
References to clients (for example, "Theros by the Sea"), technologies (Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, Vercel, etc.) or platforms are made for descriptive purposes only. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. No affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is claimed unless explicitly stated.
5. Acceptable use
When using the Site you agree not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its server, or connected systems;
- interfere with the availability or integrity of the Site, e.g. via denial-of-service, malware or automated scraping at a rate that impacts service;
- use the contact form to send unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable content, or unsolicited commercial communications ("spam");
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
6. External links
The Site may link to third-party websites — for example, live demos of client projects (therosbythesea.com) or the pages of tools I use. I do not control these sites and am not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. Following an external link is at your own risk.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Greek and EU law, I make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the Site or its content, including as to accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Information on the Site is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal, technical, financial or professional advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Site — including loss of profits, data, business opportunity or goodwill — even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or death caused by my negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Greek law.
9. Changes to the Site or to these Terms
I may modify, update or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. I may also update these Terms; the current version, together with the "Last updated" date, will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) and, where applicable, of the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have as a consumer resident in another EU Member State.
Consumers residing in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
